Back by Popular Demand: Battle of the Botanicals
We’re proud to participate again this year in the Hitchcock Center’s Battle of the Botanicals on June 7th! This third annual event benefits their year-round environmental education programming, serving 10,000 people each year from their world-class new environmental learning center.
Last year, we helped to raise over $29,000 through Battle of the Botanicals. More than 250 attendees from 28 cities and towns came together to celebrate our local culinary talent, spread awareness of the Hitchcock Center’s work, and raise funds for programming that inspires the next generation of environmental problem-solvers.
You won’t want to miss this fun evening of friendly competition and botanically inspired appetizers and craft cocktails from our region’s top restaurants! Unique tasting stations each feature a locally available botanical ingredient, such as dandelion, peas, ginger, and lavender. Sample all the stations, vote for your favorite, and help determine who faces off in a live “mystery box” cocktail challenge, hosted by Joan Holliday from The River 93.9 and judged by Monte Belmonte, Michael Kusek, and Jordana Starr. The Powerhouse at Amherst College is the perfect gathering space for enjoying a beautiful summer’s evening on the tented outdoor patio — we’ll see you there!
